East African Lion Brands Manufacturing SC (EALBM) is one of the group companies that operates as a joint venture. Initially, it was a joint venture of East African Group PLC (EAG) and Tiger Brands.
In 2017, when Tiger Brands Ltd exited the joint venture, EAG acquired full control by purchasing all the shares of its counterpart. The company is mainly engaged in home care (HC) personal / body care (PC) and supplementary food production. The company is one of the largest companies of its kind in the country and covers almost the whole of Ethiopia with its well-organized and strong trade network and outlets.
Besides home care and personal care production, the company is working on the establishment of a modern supplementary food production plant, which is expected to become operational in 2034. The food products are going to be supplied to governmental and international organizations such as the World Food Program (WFP).
East African Tiger Brands Industries PLC (EATBI) is primarily engaged in flex printing and packaging. The company specializes in manufacturing and supplying corrugated carton boxes and plastic containers, mainly to sister companies within the group.
